Clemson is in the best possible position

where they're at right now. east coast team in the east coast conference. playing Eastern time gets us national exposure, unlike some of the west coast teams who's 8:00 start is midnight here. location wise, we have great traditional rivalries with many sec teams that helps boost our strength of schedule, regardless how weak the acc may be. and contrary to popular belief, many kids still want to play in the acc which has been proven by not only Clemson, but also fsu, Miami, vatech, and even Virginias high ranked recruiting classes. the acc will rise again and from the looks of things, we will be leading the charge. manageable conference schedule + top notch out of conference rivals + recruiting at the highest level = unlimited national possibilities.

How you going to feel bout the great Acc when fla state bolts to big 12? When conferences require that you play 9 games in conference we won't get many chances to play sec teams like we use to only the sorry acc teams that dont travel aka wake, duke, pitt, cuse.

Let's start with the obvisious.I'm certain all those west coast cities just can't wait for Clemson/Maryland,or Duke /UNC(football). What rivalries with what SEC teams?South Carolina is the only SEC school on the schedule on a yearly basis. And the SEC has nothing to do with improving our strength of schedule. And wanting to play in the ACC.There is a young man right here in our own back yard, one recruited by both Clemson and Carolina but went with his heart and committed to Ohio State. High ranked recruiting classes mean squat when your conference is 2-13 in major bowl games over the last decade. Yea,we are in a great position until FSU goes to the Big 12,Miami and UNC get off probation and we can find ways to win Thursday night games at Wake Forest!

fsu certainly is never going to the big 12 and you're making a big deal out of one recruit when we go into almost every sec state and are able to snag them away from the home town team. your sir, are an idiot.

We're a football school in a basketball conference

more than we are an east coast school in an east coast conference. TV contracts are awarded based on our football brand, not our east coast brand.
