Speed kills

Just here thinking about all the burners that have played at Clemson.. C.J. Spiller could juke your eyes out of their sockets. Jacoby Ford was just lightning fast. Sammy Watkins only needed two steps to be wide open. On our current roster, which player is the fastest in the 40?

You wouldn't happen to know his 40 would you? I'm just curious how fast he is.

Growing up in the small town of St George, when I was a kid my neighbor was Tye Hill. Probably the fastest person to come through Clemson. He’s still in the top 5 in the combine 40 time.

I remember he wasn't all that tall but offenses were scared to throw his way. Dude was a baller.

Simmons is awesome fast, but I can't imagine anyone being faster than ETN in the 40.

Good question. There is 40 speed and there is football speed. As far as 40 speed, I don't know. On the other hand, for football speed I have no clue. We got a lot of fast guys. You almost have to do it by position. Who is the fastest WR, RB , return man ?? What about DL, you can't judge them against a skill player, but we have some fast / quick DLs.
I love that we have so many football fast guys we can't point to one player, and most fans will say " yea he's the guy". Most teams can point to one player. We get to have a debate.

It's awesome to have so many fast guys. You're absolutely right. Each position is different. Some are off the ball fast. Some are top end fast. Some are fast even after being hit.

In my much younger days, we were more interested in discussing the fast women.
