Rushing yards, Total yardage, First downs but found a way to win.


For way to long we've been winning the stat lines and losing games. So thankful for the 2 turnovers and winning the dadgum game on a rocket from 56 yards out as time expired.

Several time in our previous close games, we've "won" the stats, but lost the game and had to hear how we did everything better. I heard this ad nauseam after Duke last year and Louisville this year.

I was pointing out how it was good to be in a close game, and lose some of the stat lines but actually win the game.

According to the SMI coach, the only stats we won was the score, penalties, and turnovers. I’ll take that anytime.

Don't forget one of the biggest stats of the game. Smu had 7 drops. Cade knows a little how that feels last year.

Incredible year to only have 6-7 drops coming into the game.

I think we had 32 one year and 38 another year just 3-4 years ago.
