Just a thought about hiring a DC.

It should not be surprising that when a new coordinator is hired there will be other changes on that side of the ball. Not always the case, but certainly the more likely scenario.

And, especially in this case with Clemson. Dabo is more of an "offensive" head coach. If he's hiring a DC from outside (and not promoting from within) then it is likely that the DC has at least one and maybe fore guys either working on his current staff with him, or guys he has worked with in the past, that he wants to bring with him.

So, I would put the over/under on new coaches on the defensive side of the ball at 3.5. And, I wouldn't be surprised if the over won.

He had a good run at bama and old miss has a good defense this year. If Saban kept him as his DC for 4/5 years at bama he must be good.
