i really wish Dabo would make one request (demand)... NO JUMPING WHILE RUNNING DOWN THE HILL!!!!... i saw too many players doing this and landing awkwardly. this is just asking for an injury.

Have you ever run down the hill?

There is a flat spot about 2/3 of the way down, and the best way to AVOID falling when you hit that spot is to jump.
I ran down the hill probably 15 times during my 4 years of undergrad and can't remember ever not jumping, it's a very natural thing to do and you don't really think about it when you're doing it.

I understand they practice running down the hill ........

so they know what to do - the biggest danger is being too close to each other to where someone gets pushed from behind.

As Tiger77 said, the team practices running down the hill.
They are taught to jump at the flat spot. A lot less risk of injury than running down a bank onto the flat.
Next time you are at a game, go try it. I remember my first time and it's steeper than you think.

This sounds really stupid, but I think it's personal preference, or based on how fast you are going. I tried it both ways, and preferred the jumping/skipping.
Although, I will agree, some get too excited and maybe jump a little high. And I see your point; look at Malcolm Mitchell, he tore his ACL during a touchdown celebration.

They were jumping off the flat spot onto the 2nd slope. This essentialy takes a 2 foot jump and turns it into a 5 foot jump. It doesn't seem smart at all. There were several players that landed awkwardly. When I was at Clemson there was a walk-on who tore is ACL jumping. I'm shocked there hasn't been more.

Ask UGA's Malcolm Mitchell about jumping too much

WR tore his ACL celebrating Gurley's run & out for the season. Also, Kendry Morales of Anaheim Angels jumped up and landed hard on home plate after a HR & tore ACL--out for the season too.

If this is all we have to complain about!! It's a great time to be a Clemson Tiger if our biggest problems are jumping on the hill an Tajh doing the money celebration. Go Tigers! Beat the Bulldogs (again)!!
