JUCO Recruiting...

Does Clemson not recruit JUCO players? I think some JUCO players could come in and help this team out. Experience and knowledge on a team full of youngsters next year would be great.

If I'm not mistaken, both of those guys were recruited outa of high school. I think our failure to recruit top JUCO players places us at a major disadvantage.

Used to be we couldn't because of our transfer rules and such.
We've started recruiting JUCO's but haven't landed one yet.

Maybe we haven't needed to?

Preferably you bring all your kids up through your system. JUCO seems like a last ditch effort to fill holes with marginal academic athletes. I'm curious too though...that's all just speculation on my part.

for a reason. But they are great for stop gaps. Especially on both sides of the line.

I see what your saying. I was just thinking maybe we could get some guys in here that already have some experience and it could buy us some time to developing some of the younger guys.

So we continue to recruit great HS athletes like Cole Stoudtd. We've apparently recruited three busts at QB out of HS. When you need to fill gaps, why not go after All-American JUCO players who can give us two years of playing time?

Alabama seems to do it with great success. But then, what does Nick Saban know?
