Intellectual that wants to get up in front of a mic and speak his opinion
There are a million bald guys just like him who could sit there and predict and ponder college football like he does

He is just someone who forced himself on to the college football world. There's not reason to give him attention

and the more we whine and complain in his comment section the more he will say things that make us whine and complain.
fanbase needs to grow a back bone and quit having a meltdown every time we don't agree with the critique of our program

Agree.
He isnt especially knowlegable or particularly great at his podcast compared to the rest of the landscape. He is though forcing himself upon the scene and the only way he gains traction is to irritate fan bases, we are just one of them.
He's a no-talent a$$ clown looking for attention. Dont give it to him if you don't like him

Given his following, he's doing pretty well at it. And laughing all the way to the bank.

They all agree that we are not a legitimate national championship contender in 2025.
And honestly, you can't blame them.
Most of the expert opinions out there right now say that we should be better in 2025 than we were in 2024, which means another ACC championship and another playoff appearance. That is very reasonable considering the fact that we will have a strong core of returning players on offense but also a brand new defensive coordinator with some legitimate question marks on that side of the ball.
Expecting us to make the jump from a top 15ish team this past season, as well as the last few seasons, to being one of the top few teams in the country in 2025, is asking a lot. It's asking even more to want national experts who do this for a living to envision that.
But I know that my post won't make any difference, and you'll continue being butthurt that someone dared to have an opinion about Clemson football that you don't like.

ALL? You sure?
David Hale: Week 1 includes a terrific showdown between Clemson and LSU, teams that could be ranked in the preseason top 10, have playoff -- maybe national title -- expectations and and want a win to set the early-season narrative.
Low: Let's start with Clemson. This should be Dabo Swinney's best team since his last national title in 2018.
Rittenberg: Clemson won the ACC last fall and returned to the CFP without anywhere near one of its better teams under Swinney. The exciting thing is that in 2025 the Tigers should be even better and more reflective of the teams that Swinney led to national championships.
Schlabach: Clemson have the most returning talent, at least on paper, and they could conceivably be ranked Nos. 1 and 2. I like Clemson's path in the ACC, and for all the heat Franklin has taken at Penn State, he did a very nice job last season.

... but he is giving his opinion. He's not reporting facts. So what if he's wrong? It's just his opinion.
I like his commentary style far better than someone like MacAtee (however he spells it) or Steven A. Smith or Finebaum.

lot about individual teams or football. He speaks in general terms.
He said after the Louisville loss that we are a "team that can't push the ball down the field to save its life because you don't have difference maker players. You know you don't. The reason you don't is because you haven't gotten them out of high school and you haven't developed them and you haven't gone elsewhere to get them. It's not going to work any more. We waited. We saw. That's Clemson football."
We are his 6th best fan base as far as viewership of his program and he puts out opinions about us, but he is not well informed on Clemson football. His takes on Clemson football are superficial.
For a more detailed nuanced look at Clemson, here is an example of someone who has College Football and NFL experience including a National Championship - the opposite of what I see from Pate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4-R7lZkePM
