Please for the sake of Clemson football retire. I'm tired of seeing this team get beat physically and never move bodies or have the power to punish guys when they get to the ball. Clemson always looks weak, pudgy, and slow compared to the big dog teams and yesterday was no different. A QB should not be shrugging off DL and LBs the way sellars was. Yes tackling form was terrible but there were times Peter Woods had full contact with Sellars and got trucked.
The main 2 culprits for the lack of physicality are Wes Goodwin and Joey Batson. Batson you've made your money and done well but this era has passed you by, please do the right thing and retire.

You know what if he did and he at least traveled around to see what other S&C coaches are doing it might not be pissed. But I'm tired of seeing these clips of guys in the power hour doing squats with bad form and doing a crap ton of powerlifting movements that are the antithesis of football movements.
Also I believe Clemson and Neff would get a proven guy to take over, that's not to say Ben Batson would not be on that staff but highly unlikely he'd be the head man.

Ha! You underestimate Dabo and his Friends & Family Set-For-Life Plan.

This is one that won't work and Neff has alot more say in.
Can't have a 20 year old running other 18-20 year olds during the most strenuous part of the offseason and possibly the most important part.

That’s why we’re stuck with Batson for at least 5 more years until the reigns can be handed over to Batson Jr. That will be about the time that Dabo retires and he leaves the program in the capable hands of….Tyler Grisham. And Drew Swinney will be made his Offensive Coordinator. All part of the plan.

Is there a Swinney boy who could take over or a former teammate on Dabo's early 90's Bama football team?

I have said many times, the aggressive play at Clemson went away when Joey Batson had his heart troubles five years ago. You can mark it on a calendar. I have no idea why or what changed but it just happens to be a fact!

And I think Wes a poor example of physicality. Not sure he can command respect and a little fear from players. I’m sure they like him, but I would appreciate a coach who has done the things he’s telling me what and how to do. Yes, the players do seem weak. Sad day. We need a few better coaches. Some who can do more with less. I know we can improve!

Wes needs to be in the booth due to his knowledge but promote Boulware as the sideline communicator. Want be looking at baby face when they come off the field!
