First of all, Jeramiah Johnson is a great movie and I have not watched it since probably right after I graduated from Clemson in '93. I was home at parents house and my mom came in living room and said, oooh Robert Redford. My dad started laughing and said, "You probably didn't know that was your mom's heart throb!", haha! I guess ole Robert was a Brad Pitt of his era? My mom, dad and I sat there and watched Jeramiah Johnson, over 20yrs after it had came out as its a 1972 movie. Good memory!

That movie made the Hawken black powder rifle a must have rifle among hunters and gun enthusiasts. The rifles flew off the shelves and demand was out of sight. Such that many Hawken do it yourself rifle kits hit the market immediately following the movie. A great movie.

I'd go with Redford, Fonda and Nelson in The Electric Horseman...

I remember Redford saying he would leave the Country if Bush got elected to a 2nd term. Like all the celebrities he stayed. Just act and quit pushing politics on everyday common people.

Saw Jeremiah Johnson for the first time in 1973 in the old Theater in the YMCA with a gang from Johnstone A7. Great movie then and great movie now.

One of my all-time favorites!
I remember going to 4 movies with my parents during our time.
Paper Lion '69 Jeremiah Johnson '72 Jaws '75 Rocky '76
Jeremiah Johnson gave me mountain wanderlust. This clip still gives me chills.

Redford steals the show but Will Geer was pretty good too.
He could be funny at times as Grandpa on the Waltons too.
My family watched that every night and said goodnight at the end.
