Thanks for that info. Are you saying JS was approached by CDS about rejoining the football staff and JS declined? If so, that’s the first time I’ve heard that. Not sure why JS would not accept that offer. Would image it was either because of lack of compensation OR ego. By ego I mean going from a head coach at USF to a coordinator position at Clemson. Can you elaborate?

It was because he placed higher priorities on family and mental health. He needed a break and wanted a life outside of football.

When he left, WRU left with him. Hopefully one day he reconsiders and rejoins the staff. His recruiting alone would be a much needed breath of fresh air. Maybe he could talk some sense into CDS concerning the portal. No matter what, I wish him the best.
