now 6'2 or 6'3. I heard he grew significantly since original signing day/GS year. I believe Hood or Plyler even commented in an article about this a few months ago about Venables grinning when Williams walked by-- talking about how they hit on that one.

of HS for over a year-- almost 2 years since playing HS football- I believe he is the one the Clemson coaches/reporters said grew several inches after HS SINCE he has been on campus. This would likely not show up on any chart until fall charts are released. Spring usually goes with the old data.
Larry Nance probably showed 6'4 in his HS profile then he grew 6 inches.

Agree but I don't think the staff expects any of those guys to stay too long. The Davis twins are not even any college level talent.

They've been better than I figured in terms of movement skills and size but nowhere near D1 level still. They'd play at a D3 school though

Agree 100%. Players like Williams and Renfrow are great pick ups that will actually have a big impact on our team. I don't like talking bad about anyone on our team but it is unbelievable that while we are so tight on scholarships we are using up four on the Davis twins, Trapp, and Dawkins Jr. Trapp and Dawkins are both about 5'7" or 5'8" playing DB, and then we pass on a kid like Robbie Robinson who is the same size but an actual gamer. It's a little frustrating, but our coaches know what they are doing better than we do - expecting a couple really big years for us.

I've never understood why people put so much emphasis on where a kid played HS football and what type of level his school competed on.
Means nothing . Either a kid is a good football player or he is not. School size and competitive level means nothing .
Gaines Adams played 8 man football . Levon Kirkland and Tye Hill played at tiny schools . They weren't bothered by the perception . It's absurd.
