The only thing that will keep 9 teams from the SEC/B1G is ND going 12-0 or 11-1.
It is clear that the Big 12 and ACC will be a 1 invite conference. All the talking heads are doing now is just telling us what they have known all along.

There has never been consideration for 2 ACC or Big 12 teams.

The talking heads are already talking about how BYU could go 12-0 and lose the chamionship game and drop out of consideration. They were talking, until last week, how Miami could go 12-0 and lose in Charlotte and be left out. (But, they were really talking about how an 11-2 SMU team had no shot.)

yep. they have also been preparing the way for 3 loss SEC teams to get in for months now. they (ESPN talking heads) bring it up as a “crazy scenario”, but are obviously just trying normalize the idea of that absurdity

being in the playoffs is just their wishful thinking. Losses, no matter the opponents conference, have to count for something in the regular season.
But the CFP Committee have shown they don't really have a solid ruleset on the picking.

Anybody who thought the playoff expansion was about anything other than getting in more SEC/BIG10 teams is a moron. Sure if the planets aligned perfectly the ACC may on occasion get in two teams, but two are the max and one will be the norm most years. You asked for it and you got it so bend over and grab your ankles. Hope you're happy.

If Notre Dame is in position to get a spot, the most the Big10 and SEC can have is 8 not 9 because the winners of the ACC, Big12 and highest ranked G5 get bids. This year the Big10 and SEC are clearly the best conferences and deserve to get the 8 spots. Every team starts the year at 0-0 and getting 8 teams has nothing to do with ESPN or the system, it has everything to do with winning games that matter.

The ACC is a garbage football conference, this isn’t a conspiracy of anything other than being surrounded by basketball schools who put almost no effort, passion, or money into football. We need to get out as soon as is legally and financially possible. The big12 isn’t doing itself any favors this year either.
As for Boise, it’s not a difficult formula, the harder your schedule the more margin of error and vice versa. We’d be undefeated if we played their schedule.
