But the level of stupidity I read on this board from “fans” regarding all athletics is hard to take. Entitled “Fans” who think winning is easy. Either A. Have never played sports at a high level or any level B. Became Clemson fans the same here DW4 got on campus.

You are correct, Owen. A family member who worked in Clemson Athletics had to remove his entire family from Death Valley during a game in the Danny Ford era because the offense was so bland and the fans around them were cursing and swearing loudly at Danny. Those nuts have always been here and always will be. Most of them are just frustrated people with frustrating lives, so they take it out on Coaches and kids.

Guys like you make me sick. Been a Clemson fan my entire life. Didn't graduate from Clemson but am a business owner that pays my daughter's tuition. Who, by the way, is a sophomore at Clemson. What's that, $60k so far? GTFOH... you don't have to be a graduate to be a fan

Attacking the team or coaches is allowed because all here are experts. Attacking a tnetters is not because they/we get butt hurt.

I am not originally from the Southeast and wasn't a Clemson fan until I applied to Clemson and then attended Clemson. I started out with Ken Hatfield for a couple of years and then went into Tommy West. After I graduated I remember the Larry Shyatt years etc etc. Anyway, things change. Who cares about the bad years? Those were forever ago. We are talking now and Clemson as a university turned the corner long ago. Clemson wasn't even known by everyone all over the country in the early 1990's. I know because when I was out west back then at times people would ask me about it, as if they had no idea. Not everyone was a diehard football fan back then or remembered 1981. Anyway, people should have high standards now. We are getting older and things have changed for the better. Standards have changed. Who cares how things used to be..

You strike me as one of our “the refs are cheating us” fans and not the other team is on a run and or playing well type. I’d be interested at the % of individuals here actually played high level sport on here Ie: anything above high school ball.

Best is the standard, Pal.. Would you say fans giving up at halftime of any game in any sport during a tight ball game as being the best most supportive supporter you can be? For a long time (before I joined the board) I would read just to keep up with current news… Eventually after seeing what most of our fans have turned into I felt the need to join and shed some light on the situation.
