It's my fault. Blame me

If you are looking for blame, I must admit it was me.

I am a Clemson graduate and have been going to games since 1975. My dad is a Clemson graduate and he has been going to game since 1970.

And we, alone , are to blame for this malaise we are currently in.

On January 8th 2019 my dad and I spent the day in Napa Valley and northern San Francisco, enjoying the afterglow of a 44-16 whooping of Alabama to earn our 3rd National title.

After a day filled with fun and $13 Pacifico beers, we boarded a red eye from San Fran back to Greenville, which is where the ill fated deal with the college football devil took place.

As we went wheel’s up leaving San Fran, I looked at my dad (who has since passed) and said
“If we never win another football game this was one hell of great time these past few years”.

3 years later, my dad is no longer with me and I think it is safe to acknowledge, we would like a redo on that deal in many ways,

While he would be spitting nails about this 4-4 start, I do know this as fact. Next Saturday, around 11:00 AM he would be in section UR watching warm ups with some optimism that we were going to find a way to beat the Irish.

So, this situation we find ourselves in is my fault. I am sorry for putting you through this...and I have learned my lesson on how fleeting greatness can be. And the Pacifico beers, I hear, are now $18 bucks in San Fran.

I made a deal I wish I could take back. So, blame me.

What is wrong must be fixed….and that reckoning is coming in the offseason.

But for now, here we are. I will be in Death Valley Saturday. Hope to see you there.
