has lost now to transfers?? We keep this coach for another year and just imagine what the next coach is going to be left with. We are getting younger and younger every year and we have no leadership because he can't keep players here.

Smith, Slawson, Richardson, Leonard, Geathers and Williams all could be "seeking" playing opportunities elsewhere

My words exactly, I can't figure out where all of this unsubstantiated love for BB is coming from.

This is not over...I look for the kid from Greenwood to do his missionary work next year...our program is in bad shape. On the positive side there is not much way it can get any worse

Yes, we'd have been far better off with a starting 5

of Cory Stanton(out of college basketball)at PG, T.J. Sapp at 2G, Donte Hill(8ppg as a senior on a 5 win Old Dominion team) at SF, Noel Johnson(5ppg on the worst SEC team at Auburn) at PF and Bernard Sullivan and his 1.8 ppg at C. We lost sooooo much. Transfers are a part of college basketball. Hundreds of players transfer each year. UNC lost the Wear twins and Larry Drew all to UCLA in a 1 year span a few years ago. They happen, everywhere

...solidly as the solution to Clemson's basketball problems.

Martin can recruit players to replace the ones he forced out of the program. Next argument.

It's more telling that ALL of the transfers have been duds
Mar 25, 2013, 4:35 PM

everywhere they've gone. If we had guys leaving who were tearing it up at other places (like USuCk has) then you'd have a point. But it's been guys who transfer because they aren't playing enough. That's dead weight, not Brownell's fault.

Then why did Brownell sign them to Clemson??? He saw something in these guys didn't he? I understand transers are part of the game, but there is more to this. Why would you leave Clemson when you could be starting next year. The real issue is he can't recruit and he loses players every year. Good Lord is their a worse recipe for disaster. Oh yea his brand of basketball is boring as HELL HAHAHA.

OP signed 2, Brownell 3

1 of which was a desperation recruit his first year when he was hired at the beginning of the spring signing period, Cory Stanton. the other 2, Sapp and Sullivan, were misses and on Brownell

OP left us with ZERO recruits and Sapp and Sullivan transferred b/c of lack of PT. Obviously 2 swings and misses but every coach has those.

Sapp and Sullivan were the highly touted guys too

yet KJ has emerged as the star of that class, Coleman is going to be a good one, and Hall is at least a good back-up on a good team
