Ever consider the rise of cheap illegal labor from illegal..

immigrants and the impact that has had over the last 30 years up and down the wage scale?
I wonder if just half of the illegal workers in this country weren't here tomorrow, what impact that would have on wage growth (and inflation btw).
I always hear the line "they do jobs no body else wants to do". Really? Seems to be me that someone would want to do them at some higher wage. That would impact the supply and demand of laborers significantly.
I think the economy would take a short-term hit, but would have a long-term gain without so much illegal cheap labor.

them here (both parties evidently), to control inflation. More precisely, to cause artificial deflation. To answer your question, and give you the answer...
If they all left tomorrow, the labor force participation rate would climb, unemployment would be well below 5% (real unemployment), prices would skyrocket, the economy would overheat, and ultimately our national debt would become unserviceable. That last one is the key. If our interest rates/inflation went to 1980 levels tomorrow, our government would be on the verge of collapse.

I've always found the argument of "Doing the jobs that we

don't want to do" to be one of the more absurd and insulting I've heard. And it's pretty amazing (impressive?) that the Democrats have successfully controlled the "black" vote while simultaneously advocating more open borders that take away lower-skilled jobs.

Temp Workers Offices are not full of black and whites.....

When I lived in Raleigh, I would run past a temporary worker office. I would run by about 5am when folks were lining up to get work. Rarely and I mean rarely was there a person there that was African American or White. This was right near downtown Raleigh, so not typically known as a HIGH concentration of hispanics. They would drive in from Clayton and Fuquay, with several in one car looking for work.
Now I am not saying that African Americans are lazy or do not want to work, but with all the pissing and moaning about Hispanics taking jobs that others dont want to do, I kind of believe that notion.
When I was in San Jose last week, I did not see one black person working in those fields. When I drove past the soybean and corn fields in Ohio, I didn't see any black people working either. That is just the honesty of it all.
The Democrats have pulled the wool over the AA voters and they just cannot seem to see it/get past it.

Illegal immigration increases the supply of labor.

So, yes, it is holding down wages, and it is increasing unemployment for American citizens, especially for entry level, low skilled workers. It is one of the primary reasons the unemployment rate for black youths is about 40%.

That is easy. They want to buy to lock up power by buying votes and expanding their voter base.

I'm not that up on Bernie Sanders' immigration stances, although I'm pretty sure he supports a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, DREAM act, deferred action, etc... I'm not sure, but doesn't he also really oppose tightening up the boarder? If I've got his positions stated correct, all of those work to increase illegal immigration.
So...if he agrees with my position that illegal immigration drives down wages...why doesn't he want to get a handle on and reduce illegal immigration?
