we don’t give him enough credit. Reading another thread about other highly regarded coaches on the hot seat that haven’t been able to get their teams even up to consistently in the mix for conference championships. Maybe Dabo is more that just a very good coach. Maybe he is a once in an era coaching mastermind. It’s certainly closer to the truth than pegging him as first a cheerleading salesman and now, the inspirational CEO.

He's certainly a great motivator and leader. The team would walk through walls for him.

Good coaches understand X and O football far better than average coaches.
Great coaches are good coaches who recruit great players far better than good coaches.
Elite coaches are great coaches who motivate players to play great far better than great coaches.
Dabo is an elite coach.

Elite, certainly, but I think he may be a "mold breaking" coach and we'll look back and see that like Heisman and Bear Bryant, he was head and shoulders above everyone else.

He has a rare opportunity to be the best coach of all time

and can achieve that while coaching at just one school his entire career as a HC. Who among the all-time greats can say that? He is unquestionably a mold-breaker. And now you can see coaches and programs all across the county try to copy what Dabo has built, but the copies don't have the authenticity that the Clemson program has.

I grew up in the hay day of Bear Bryant-he was one of the greatest to ever coach- I would have loved to seen him and Dabo go head to head in a game.

football IQ. You can get a glimpse of it every time he answers questions about what went wrong on a given play, offense or defense. He will quickly get into the brass tacks of coverages, assignments, positioning of players on the field, etc. It usually just goes right over the head of whoever he is talking to.

Once in a era is a good way to describe him IMO. Coaches come and go, but I can't think of any who have reinvented a Power 5 caliber program, and taken it to the highest level the way that Dabo has.
