He isn’t helping, but firing him won’t magically make us elite.

Our problems run much deeper than Goodwin, despite the fact that he was woefully unqualified to be our DC when he was hired.

True but it's a great starting point. He is the weakest link in the chain and you should always be looking to replace your worst employee.

You can’t really coach talent and depth. Either we have it or we don’t. Then we go from there.

If we hired an elite defensive coordinator this would be a different game with our current players. We’d cut their rushing attack in half which would entirely change this game.
