Lost four out of five. Was bound to happen. Just about very team, at every level, goes through a slump. Here's hoping the Tigers can use the next five days to rest, regroup, recharge, and do some damage in Tallahassee. GOOOOOOOOOOOTIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go with the old: “That’s just baseball “ old & tired line. If you have been paying attention all season even in the wins offense has been a struggle. We are 40 games in. Look at the batting averages on this team. Look at the stats. We have 2 guys in this lineup batting over .300 & they are just barely floating above .300. Clemson is dead last or close to last in every offensive category except walks & hit by pitch in the ACC. Over half this starting batting order has more strikeouts than hits this season. We are currently on an 6 for our last 59 hitting with runners in scoring position that my friend is .107 batting average. Offensively this isn’t a slump. It simply is what this team is for better or worse. If they don’t get great, outstanding pitching performances they don’t have a chance slugging it out with any quality team. In reality this team has probably over achieved at this point of the season with such poor offense & they certainly have heart & never quit. Regardless of how it sounds, I am proud of what they have accomplished this season. It’s just this bad offense limits any kind of ceiling they have.

Without looking at the nu.vers, I bet that the team batting avg after 40 games is the worst it has been in tbe last 5-7 years?? Teams that win it all have everything working at the same time. 40 games of data tell you facts. The facts are this team can't hit. They win when other teams make mistakes. Great teams can beat otber great teams without relying on mistakes.

Well said. Couldn't have spelled it out any better. We have overachieved. Thanks for speaking the truth.
We rose in the rankings partly because cawks, wake, and early season series win over ga tech. The other series we feasted on are bottom acc teams. Wake is faded fast. Louisville ain't a host team... and the cawks are terrible. We had 2 quality wins against ok st and Zona. Both have faded from what many felt were top 10 teams.
Yes, a tremendous mid-week dub over uga. But uga gets a huge bump in rankings because of sec. In addition, it's not a series. Who knows if we would hang with uga in a weekend series.
I've said all along, kudos for finding ways to win. But as you did, you must watch every game. I saw red flags from the get go because teams were giving us so many freebies that bloated our run per game stat.

Yesterday, 4/25, on just one pole, #2,3,4 and 22 went down. Today 4/26, #2,7,8,18 and 22 went down to lower ranked or unbanked teams with a lot of teams still playing this evening. Not gonna name the teams, look em up. Yes, that’s baseball. Reminds me of shake out weekend in football. Go Tigers!

It's much easier for good/great football teams to put together long winning streaks because they only play once a week. Much more difficult to do on an every day basis, or five games a week.

Those teams lost a game , we got swept , blown out , flat out outclassed for 3 straight games . Huge difference bud in losing a game and getting swept .
