Those programs may not have enough team culture to inspire loyalty.

make it as starters might consider transfer to somewhere they are promised that. And with more money.

canceling our spring game. I typically go, but frankly don't get much out of it. Many of us left the game last year thinking Trent Pearman should get some run in the fall. Just went to show you that you can't believe much you see there. Yes you get to see some of the new guys, but is it worth the cost and risk of injury? Don't know.

It just means nothing IMO. Rather see a deep run in the CFP.

The only reason a spring game is scheduled is so people can practice their tailgating skills. I think it is a great idea to eliminate it. Definitely keep it off of TV. There are poachers out there.

The Spring Game is very scripted. Last year's made Cade

look like he regressed. It sent fans into the off season with more doubts and questions than it was worth.
Should Cade have performed better? Probably. He definitely would have if he had all 1st teamers playing at the same time. The finger tip touch rule negates 90% of good runs.
As a fan, I would rather see the starters go out and perform as if they didn't miss a beat for a drive, then let everyone else play. They can be mixed back in for situations.
It doesn't mean much, but means a LOT if the starters look bad.

I love the spring game. Look forward to it every year. You don’t want to hurt your good players so they play sparingly. It’s a chance for the youngsters to show what they’ve got. Schools don’t want to do that anymore because someone will want them and offer them to transfer. That’s the world we live in. Which sucks. Gotta hide your players.
