I've only been around celebrities of few times. All I do is give them a gentlemanly greeting and head nod. I figure the egotistical ones will be annoyed, and those who aren't, are happy not to be disturbed.

The young couple who sat behind us in Charlotte asked us why the flag was at half mast. We answered “Pearl Harbor”. They looked very puzzled and asked “what’s that?” I wasn’t alive in 1941 either but we all certainly knew what happened at Pearl Harbor. The young guy even came back later and asked what year it happened. They really had no clue.
