It warms my heart knowing the loudest voices on TigerNet contribute nothing to Clemson

Your words flow by just inches beneath my feet as they traverse their way to into dark, hidden obscurity just like the trip my dinner took from the toilet to the septic tank.

You assume the loudest voices are all non-alum or don't donate to IPTAY because people that pour money and time into the program would never question anything on a message board? Bad take.

Works as hard or harder than anyone.
Plays as hard or harder than anyone.
Never makes excuses.
Owns it when things go bad.
Shows up the next day working harder than ever.
That’s how you do life. I’m very proud that I graduated from the same school as DJ will in December.

but he checks out at the first sign of adversity on the playing field. Period.
All those other things you listed may be true, but when it comes time to perform in games where it matters, he folds like a cheap suit.

I think we’ve covered that, but so I’m clear your contribution to Clemson is the fact you were born into it?

I love that the example of what he gives to Clemson is literally what he took from Clemson. Self awareness is at an all time low.

That's great. How much do you all contribute for the benefit of the other 20,000 students through the Clemson Fund? I'm sure it's open to all donors, alumni or not. Of course, that won't get you a seat in the stadium. Sorry.

It's the same ole, lame ole rhetoric about paying to be a member of a message board that you can be a member of free. I can assure you, nothing about this message board validates anyone's loyalty to the school I attended, lived in D3 for 4.5 years and graduated from. I was in the student section for some of the best Clemson games I've ever seen when Fuller was throwing to Butler and Clark. You can sunshine pump DJ all you want but Steve Fuller with an arm tied behind his back would have had this team undeafeated this year.

It’s a shame reading comprehension wasn’t part of that 4.5 years you spent at Clemson.

He's a tremendous young man with great character but at best an average QB in our system. For his own good and ours, it would be better for each of us to find a better fit so that we both can reach our full potential and excel like we both want to.

As a commuter for 6 years (2 degrees) back in the 80's, I contributed enough in parking tickets for Clemson to set up a major endowment by now. Haha.

You assume much. I’ve been very vocal since the 80’s. I was one of the fans pushing Hatfield and every mediocre coach out the door. Then, I was parking in someone’s yard behind the Esso and selling my terrible seats to scalp good ones. Today, I park in Rogers Family Lot 5 and have great tickets. My investment in GameDay weekends would pay for an elite sports car easily. I’ve been on the bench 5 train since game two last year. In fact, finding anyone who runs in my circles who believe DJ should start as QB at division one is almost impossible. Just be careful about assumptions. This situation is dire. I’m hearing fans who are normally blind cheerleaders starting to grumble about DJ.

To paraphrase on old baseball saying, you win some, gyou lose some (hopefully only occasionally), and some should have been rained out! Football, like ALL team sports, needs everyone to do their part to be successful! I saw DJ chase one of his recent interceptions down with a tackle near the 5 yard line when one of our receivers in the route to the goal line was backing away and making NO effort to help stop the runner or even disrupt the play. That same receiver does not attempt to compete for possible catchable balls. Most of the receivers seems to want ALL passes in their breadbasket with an unacceptable number dropped for no apparent reason, make little effort to get free, no to little effort to catch even close passes like Mike Williams or Renfro (?spelling) did, etc. However, it does seem that DJ moves very little in the pocket unlike other QBs who move up or sideways to avoid the pass rush in an attempt to get more time for receivers to get more open!
