Sorry but ignorant question here. Who makes the ACC football schedule? I've been told Swofford does but surely one person (with an allegience to one school) doesn't do it alone.

No way in hell someone that high up gets into the nitty gritty of schedule. Guaranteed underlings bring him a product. He may approve it and be final approval but I bet you he does almost none of it.

So does anyone know?????? The whiners are saying Swofford cause we have NC State and FSU in a row but surely thats not true. (Tho we all know he gets what ever he wants)

I once held the position of guaranteed underling . It had it's perks but was also something I looked forward to moving on from . After all , there is only so much underlinging one can do before the taste becomes permanent .

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. I would imagine it's some combination of the people on staff: http://www.theacc.com/staff.aspx
But, for all I know it's just Swofford at a bar writing schedules in crayons on bar napkins.

Conference games are scheduled by the ACC, I'm sure using a computer/program. Then the open dates are scheduled by the school's AD.
