given to the player who was most important to his team, and was almost like a Most Valuable Player Award that included Character, Leadership and Excellence on the field. For example, Paul Hornung won the Heisman in 1956 on a team that went 2 - 9. That could never happen today. Jeanty was the most outstanding player this year who was "Most Valuable to his Team, showed character, leadership and tremendous skills." If the standards had not changed, Jeanty would be the clear winner this year.

Who knows who was more deserving? They both deserved it. I wanted Jeanty because he doesn't make as much cash. As far as character, value to their team, etc, they both may deserve it. There was nothing clear about this one. That's why it was the closest one in years, with both deserving.

The Nobel prize has various categories. You don't have to be a genius for every category.

Forgot to add, that Travis Hunter does have a 4.0 in Psychology though. Pretty solid no matter what the scenario.

let's see....rarely come to class due to schedule and I33can't suspend belief and imagine them studying hours in the library or even getting up and hour early to cram right before a test. But OK, you never got a F----ng "B+", a B g d plus..either the curriculum is on a near remedial level collectively or shenanigans-

I hope that you are not judging the character of Hunter because of the flashiness of his coach. I read somewhere that he doesn't drink and has a 4.0 GPA (I know nothing about the accuracy of those statements). For that matter I wouldn't judge the character of Sanders because of how flashy he is. We should appreciate the quality of the nominees this year. Cam Ward would have won the award most years, but finished a distant 3rd this year.

That has seemed to be the trend for years now
I was pulling for Jeanty for the reasons you mentioned, but it would be hard to argue that Hunter wasn’t deserving

George Rogers in 1980. Herschel Walker won it in 1982. What they have in common is, neither ever sniffed the end zone against the CLEMSON TIGERS!
That is an amazing stat, I don't care WHO you are.
