I was re-watching the Pitt Game last night, I was not looking forward to re-watching it because we were terrible that day, committed a bunch of silly penalties, and had a number of busts on Defense. It also did not help that our receivers had the dropsies that day, or it would not have been close. But when the game was on the line, and Clemson needed a stop, TJ Parker went into absolute beast mode with consecutive sacks, including a strip sack, and repeated pressure on their QB, resulting in incompletions.
When the clock was ticking down, zero time outs, and 3 minutes on the clock, Klubnick was barely phased. After a couple of quick passes to the flats, he ran for a 60 year TD after setting Pitt up for one of the best play calls on offense last season.
We lose that game without Parker, and Cade's calm leadership under pressure rallied the team when the game was on the line. This is why I feel good about this season, most everyone is back with a draft heavy roster looking to impress scouts. It only takes a couple of guys on each side of the ball to boat race another team, provided the rest of the team does their job and limits mistakes. I think we will be better than that this season.

I would have been upset to lose that one and it sure looked like we might for a long time. The one to Pitt that really gets me is the loss in DV

for Dabo hiring better coaches, using the transfer portal, and making financial incentives a greater recruiting focus?
After all, a few of us here harped on all of those issues for a long time. Maybe Dabo started listening?

And this season we have playmakers all over
the field so we need not rely too heavily on the
same guys each week, ( even absolute studs have bad days )
I hope it continues. This recruiting class is loaded
It is shocking to me how much better our class is than other
ACC teams.
We currently have 13 4* guys , likely a 5* on the way and another 4*
SYR AND LOUIS have 4 each
NCST , PITT and CAL each only have 3
And get this WF , NCST , VIR and VT ALL HAVE NONE..... ZERO
A ton more playmakers should mean a ton more wins
Miami and FSU are keeping pace with us , btw

Rarely does anyone have their A game every game and winning a game when you don't is what separates a team that makes the Playoffs from a team that doesn't.
