I was actually just telling a buddy of mine I almost feel sorry for the coots... it’s getting harder and harder for me to loathe them. I just wish it would be a little more competitive

Enjoy it boys

So long as the 'riches' are

Matched by character, integrity, ethics, and humility...I'm good.
Haven't seen anything, to date, that would lead me to think those aren't the reasons Clemson is 'rich'.

The Natty shows just how much talent and God-given athletic gifts you need to win. To say this sport is competitive is a comical understatement. You take your foot off the gas for a SECOND and you lose the biggest games by multiple touchdowns. We've done that to folks and folks have done that to us. You need every advantage you can get, and each of these kids that blesses us by attending our university is a shot in the arm that we NEED to win.
And yeah, I want to win the Natty every year so I want the #1 class every year lol. And it's already an indisputable fact: Dabo develops talent better than any other coach in the nation, and he's been doing it for years. He takes classes in the 8-12 range and wins championships. With a #1 class? Two #1 classes in a row? Hard for good things to not happen.

Developing talent is made much easier when we recruit young men with character, talent and the desire to be the best. Players who embrace the team concept rather than the "Me" concept become leaders on and off the field and confirms and hastens that development.

That's the biggest reason why we send out less than half the offers that Alabama does, for example.
