Every year we're like the only team in the top 25 that doesn't have a true #1 Friday starter, we're always swapping around looking for somebody to step in, it's like we're always stuck with a bunch of #2 or #3 guys

Agreed. Its not like these guys grow on trees though. Gordon definitely ain't one.

Weatherly in 2020 had the potential to be one but Covid. Before that, probably have to go back to Daniel Gossett in 2014.

Last year our number one starter had to start on Sundays because of his arm he had to play first base Friday and Saturday

It’s the main reason teams have been celebrating on Tiger Field come regional time for years. Clemson has the bats to wear out any teams #2#3 starter, however generally #1 guys don’t get knocked around, so you better have a stud pitcher on your side to go toe to toe with him Right now, looks like their still trying to find one
