Trevor or DW4 at QB? I think QB makes the team go………. Yes you need people around the QB, but the talent is pretty dang good (not like the two natty teams)……. So is a superstar, generational QB the real difference we re seeing?

DW was at the end of one generation & TL at the beginning of the next. So it’ll be 20 yrs before we’re allowed another

No. Now those two guys were great, but far from perfect. I saw both make some boneheaded throws and it didn't bother them at all. I also saw both I'd them enjoy better support from their teammates on the field (we also saw Trevor unable to win us another natty when his supporting cast wasn't supporting very well). Add to this that CK was pretty thoroughly crapped on his first year by not being provided an opportunity to get reps in with the first team.
Cades not perfect but we can see he can be very good. He needs a line, he needs recievers he can rely upon ( this seems to be in the making) and he needs rbs and receivers to do some blocking as well. Cade ain't the problem. I only wish I knew what is.

With Dw we should have lost to NC State and came close to losing to Troy. We lost to Pitt. We have close games that we won against some really good teams as well.

the offensive “woes of this team” come down to one thing IMO and that’s a first year OC. GR has to be one of the best but it’s clear that he’s not sure what he’s got yet. And what OC would coming into a new situation with players he’s never worked with, not to mention lots of freshmen. And then he has to prepare a new game plan for each opponent. From game to game we see it coming together though, especially with CK. What a privilege to watch him grow up. Rest assured GR is also aware of the issues with different positions, from OL to WR to RB & especially QB and he’s letting the position coaches know about it every day.
Idk maybe we shoulda kept Streeter…
And btw anybody still wanna fire WG?

I thought Noble Johnson was going to be that guy. Did he get dinged up in fall practice or was what he showed in the spring not carried over into the fall? I figured he would be the freshman wide receiver to avoid the redshirt moreso than Hanafin or Brown.

This team is 5-1 minimum with a good kicker and potential 6-0 with a great kicker. We beat FSU with a kicker and kero game very close in first half at DuKe with kicker and maybe spirits, time, etc keep us in the game for a win.
We could be 6-0 but we really deserved to lose first game if we give them the ball so many times. There are however simple factors that could give us a 6-0 record based on all the stats, we are always the better team. Just turnovers and single plays kill us.
