There are others that are really good, but T2 is just an all-out action fest that is pretty much awesome is every way.
It reminds me of our Clemson Tigers ????

Just finished watching Alien2. That's a pretty good one too. But I did think the whole Terminator series was awesome.

Silent running, 2001 (despite the coots stealing the song) are two great oldies. T1 and T2 are very good. 3 not so much.

Alien in the "classic" category and Edge of Tomorrow as far as "recent" releases.
For a low budget film, "Moon" is very solid. Not a lot of action but a good general mind screw.

I agree with The Martian being an excellent movie. The movie closely followed the book. The author's second book, Artemis, wasn't nearly as good.

The Forbidden Planet (1957) hands down.
Leslie Nielsen, Walter Pigeon, Anne Francis, Earl Holliman, Robby the Robot, and a load of other very recognizable character actors.
I half-want them to remake it with modern CGI, but they'd screw up a purdy-near perfect storyline.
