Is he paying his own way? I wonder if he is getting NIL money while playing football? Anyone know?

He's smart - cashing in on his brand while he can.

No, and he wanted have joined team if so. There are no more walk-ons since going to 110 Scholarships. Yes, will get NIL because of brand.

So how did we take him ? Dabo said we had no more room for portal additions because we were full ? Doesn’t make any sense ?

the term walk on used to me you walked on to the team with no scholarship. YOU had 85 players with scholarships and every 1 else was a walk-on.
Which technically Chef is.. he isn't getting a scholarship. When Dabo said we are full. he was referring to open scholarships. There are no official rules for the amount of players on a football team. It is never technically "full", just how much you want to spend and keep up with.
The guy was suggesting the term walk on doesn't mean the same thing it used to . every 1 gets paid.. so they can pay their own school and there is no need for a scholarship.

Plus the Judge hearing the revenue sharing case, that limits the roster size to 105, said no to slashing all players above 105 because they are vested. I suspect that once they leave or graduate, they will not be replaced if this revenue sharing and roster limit is approved.

This is false. You can have as many walk-ons as you want as long as you don’t go over the roster limit.

Tiger Illustrated has an article today on Schieffelin. According to them, he made between $600,000 and $700,000 is his final year with the basketball program. He's expected to make "less than $100,000" in NIL in accordance with his relative roster value this year with the football team.

Bet he makes more than $100k just because of his school affiliation and fan club.

This is a dumb post. Shef absolutely has a chance at being a Jimmy Graham type TE. He won't be a route runner, but I think he knows how to throw a pick, block, and post up to highpoint a football. He's a big athletic body. Prototype red zone target.

He's a troll. He pops up once very couple of weeks to take really weak shots at Dabo/Football. Flag it and move on

If you are actually paying attention to the publicity we are already getting, you’d understand why your statement makes no sense.

Posted above - that is not true. You don’t have to give every player a scholarship.

Schieff has no future with the program after 2025 and will hopefully not take reps from Bentancur and Brooking who have pedigree, football skill sets, and a bright future. Fine to recognize Schieff but avoid throwing the baby out with the bath water.
