Is Mahomes better than DW4?

My heart says no, but my brain says yes.
I feel like DW4 will be as good if he played for an offensive genius like Andy Reid and have speedsters like that in the team, but he plays for the absolute worst HC in the league.
But then Andy moved up and took Mahomes when DW4 was available, so he graded him higher. Mahomes has more arm strength, but I think Watson is a better runner.
I think both Mahomes and Watson are gonna get paid a ton in the offseason, but Mahomes a little more bcos of the MVP and the superbowl appearance ( if he wins today)

Probably Yes... but Mahomes also has superior talent around him and Andy Reid>>Bill NO’Brain! DW4 is easily a Top 10 QB in the NFL!

I think it is impossible to know. Mahomes probably couldnt take the beating Deshaun takes with the Texans.

The afc is pretty weak this year so mahomes looks better than he is. Good Oline indeed. Also Andy Reid teams always choke in the end.

No. That is all one can say definitively.
However, one can speculate as to why that is the case - just as you have. And I share the same opinion that DW's protection sucks.

Bill OBrien sucks. No OL, no defense. Let's clowned go for nothing. He has his job bcos he moved up and got DW4. Owner is happy as long as they make money and sell tickets.

Watson is fiercely loyal and vouched for his coach. IMO he should have said nothing. Obrien should have been fired for losing that way after being up 24 to 0.

Kansas City’s O line and Coaching is far better.
Bill O’Brien would be fired by now if not for Watson.

By the numbers, yes
But I think everyone in this thread has hit on a point...
DW4 would probably be successful in most NFL schemes...could you imagine him with the Chiefs or Saints? Heck, put him on the LA Rams or Bears and he's probably thick in the playoff race and maybe on the way to the Super Bowl!
Not a knock on Patrick Mahomes - he is KILLING IT in Andy Reid's O. Sometimes players just fit awesomely in a system and they are gonna stand out. Idk if Patrick Mahomes would be AS effective in other schemes and organizations but he's certainly gamer and I think NOBODY imagined this dude was gonna go off as he has so far.
I'm sure someone has a better breakdown/analysis of this all - who's the Quozzel of NFL talk? LOL

Mahomes has the advantage of playing for a great offensive mind. DW4 is stuck with the middling BOB. Hard to compare them fairly.

DW4 should maybe think about moving on from Houston if Houston can't do better than their current head coach .

DW4 isn't going anywhere because he's about to be paid $35MM+ per year with at least $110MM guaranteed.
He'll be in Houston as long as they want him.
