I'm glad you are a fan and not a coach. Taking an opponent lightly is a nice recipe for a butt kicking.
Iowa State has the 11th ranked defense in the country right behind Clemson, our coaches better not be morons and take them lightly. They have a great coach and not many blue chippers, but they can play. Running the ball on Iowa State probably won't be easy.

We may well get beat, but it doesn't say much for us to play in a bowl game against an unranked 5 loss team.

No one is impressed by a win (or loss) to Iowa State. They are like playing Wake Forest except not as prestigious.

What a terrible season. My wife’s birthday is the 29th. We ALWAYS seem to play on the 29th lately. Playoffs etc. I could use the playoff excuse before, but I don’t think I am getting to watch this one.
2021 just be done already.

This actually looks like a pretty tough opponent despite the 5 losses...All their losses were close: Lost by 2 to Big 12 Champ & #7 Baylor...Lost by 7 to # 16 Oklahoma...Lost by 10 to #10 Iowa...Lost by a combined 6 points to 6-6 teams in West Virginia & Texas Tech... Their best wins were by 3 over #8 Oklahoma St., by 23 over Texas, and by 13 over Kansas St....
Hope the Tigers show up for this one because Iowa St. looks like a tough team that shows up... to attest to this is the fact that their largest margin of defeat all year was by 10 points to #10 Iowa

Years from now I can imagine someone looking at the bowl we went to this year and laughing at the name. It appears we are the underdog even if I St. has 5 losses. This game will mean a lot about how we view this season. 10-3 ain’t bad even if we wanted more. But losing to this opponent, giving us 4 losses and the defeat to think about all year would suck.
