He is also playing handcuffed if a defender gets close it's a sack. So probably pressing to get the ball out since he can't do what he could do in a normal game by stepping up or slipping out extending a play.

Come back with that question in mid November. I think there won't be any need whatsoever to ask it. In other words, hide and watch!

the previous season and having to witness some of the worst QB play in the nation with DJU at the helm coupled with the fact that he was seemingly ENTRENCHED as QB1 & thereby the headliner of that spring game—EPH UP after eph up–Horrendous, God awful production from the QB position–Ring a bell?

Flashes brilliance then average play with intermittent brain farts. It’s just the spring game and he will get better. I know one thing, we severely lack talent at WR.

These folks making outlandish statements about anything based on this practice today are some pitiful folks.
I am personally 0% concerned with where we are, and I will right now guarantee we're back in the playoffs.
I'm seriously concerned about some of these guys thinking they saw anything to be concerned about during the glorified 2 hand touch game today.

I'll say it again, WE HAD THE MOST PRODUCTIVE PASSING/RECEIVING SEASON IN PROGRAM HISTORY IN 2020, and included a 33-48 for 400 yds night against OSU.
When you said, "some of us remember", you meant to say, "one of us made up...".
Stop, man. You're embarrassing YOURSELF.
Tyler Grisham turned Cornell Powell into a nobody to an NFL draft pick, and he nearly doubled Amari Rodgers numbers into enough money to retire and live comfortably on.
Be a man and admit you made that up.
DJU, and losing Trevor Lawrence plus Travis Etienne and Tee Higgins, along with an injured and never the same Justin Ross was the reason for the offensive drop-off. Period.
Please be a man and admit your wildly subjective, fictional comment. Thank you.

He played two full games last year. He completed 65% of his passes for 300 yards and added 50 rushing yards a game. This was against two ranked teams. And today he started 9/11 against our first stringers while he only has one starter. That's average?

No, I just think there had to be a sign-up initiative for people with mental disabilities from 1998 to 2002. You lack all perspective and critical thinking ability. He threw a ton of yards on the #6 team in the country while we haven't signed an elite receiver in 5 years.

Spare us your sanctimonious attitude.
DJ is the clear cut and obvious reason for the offensive drop-off of the last two years, and if you want to play the backdoor critique lady then at least please try to add some material worthy of debating. Thank you.

If DW and TL are the standards, we're all going to be pretty dadgum disappointed until another generational talent walks through the door to etch his name beside those two.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for CK2 to break out as TL and DW did early in their playing days...but we need to keep some perspective that THEY are the EXCEPTION...not the rule. However, I'm rooting for CK2 to certainly be in the conversation with the Clemson QB greats when it is all said and done.
This is my early reaction regarding CK2 after seeing some of the spring game:
1. He needs more reps in the system but will probably look better in actual game situations where sacks aren't a tap on the shoulder. He needs some seasoning but I think he's going to be fine.
2. Common Sense Thought: He'll probably look better once most of our WRs are off the IR and not have to rely on walk-ons as 2nd and 3rd options at WR (no offense).
3. Personally, our 1st Team Defense is nasty. It's hard to not jump on the hype train but this is only going to make CK2 better having to face this D in practice.

Brownell gonna get off his a$$ & hit the recruiting trail or continue to rely primarily on transfers which under Brownell has become Clemson basketball's recruiting footprint—actually we have no recruiting footprint—under CBB which tracks because he's publically admitted his disdain for RECRUITING, he loathes every aspect of it—

Any other school Brownell would be looking for a job period. Cade will be fine mixing in the run game and the influx of talent at WR and we'll be humming by game three .

He doesn’t have the poise…he makes EVERY play an adventure…problem is he is too careless with the ball in his decision making and throwing either going backwards or off his back foot…pure passing fundamentals are horrendous and it’s a recipe for feast or famin type of thing…a great team can’t have that from a QB … an average or above average team can roll with it because they have no choice…I think it was pretty obvious that Homs is the best pure passer and traditional QB based on today … he reminds of chase Brice iah..:Cade has better big play potential with his feet and his gunslinger decisions … but that #### will get you beat against good teams over the long haul and will not produce Natty’s!!! It can produce good wins but is not sustainable over the long haul…see Johnny manzelle (beat Bama at Bama for a huge WIN but never won a team trophy) !!!

I saw a bunch of freshmen and sophomores playing flag football in a system they started learning 2 months ago. I am not sure what you expected out of this game when the RPO was meaningless, and the pass protection was almost nonexistent. We will not know how good Cade is until next year, unless you are a wizard of some sort.
