When the republicans elect a game show TV host and failed businessman to lead their party, it’s honestly not that surprising.
Before all the “#######” comments come from the intolerant right on here, I dislike Biden too and think it’s sad that these two are the best we can do as a country.

Calling Trump a gameshow host...

is like the folks outside our program that say Dabo is just a real estate/insurance salesman that never called a play in his life. He's just a cheerleader.
You may not like Trump but the guys knows business and cutting thru BS and he did a good job of that during his tenure. A lot of the problems were perpetuated by media and lies like racism were created sometime in the past 6-7 years and is full on exploiting the minds of the masses and Trump is an easy target to tie the hate to.
I'm fairly moderate. Socially conservative, mostly fiscally conservative but believe the vale of social programs. What I dont believe in is making them so readily available or beneficial that it becomes the new way of life. That hardcore nanny-state mindset is not good for the country and anyone educated enough should understand that. We need those program, I've benefited from some, friends have as well and I can see there resourcefulness. However, its not a good strategy to empower people.
Talking points like 'rich people aren't taxed', etc. is lame as its more than a headline bc of how the tax structure works and certainly so for job creators. Its 'easy money' so to speak for a candidate to preach this to ignorant minds of a different class in society.
I actually think Trump is good for the management of our country, its just that his decorum makes the masses cringe. At the same time, he's not a career politician and gets things done or at least makes the decisions to do something right or wrong. That's what a real leader does. Guys alike Biden lost their soul years ago as he's a career puppet controlled by the powers to be of his party....no original thoughts. The GOP establishment hated Trump bc he said 'Eff Off' and people loved it bc you dont see that at a such a high ranking position....we all clamored for it one way or the other and finally got and now its gone.....back to the same ole, same ole.
Just some thoughts from someone not completely controlled by the BS talking points of his party.

At least the Republicans MAY keep the Senate. Retake the House in 2022 while holding the Senate and keep both in 2024 and hope that a Republican can take back the White House.

Yes and No. Metro Atlanta now has over 6 million people. I live in Atlanta and I was among very few who supported Trump. What surprised more were the suburbs of Atlanta that turned blue.

Stacey Abrams was able to tip the state blue. I know for a fact of at least one person from SC who was able to get registered to vote in GA and voted blue. Don't know how widespread this was.

lot of resentment towards the gubernatorial election, plenty of people thought Abrams won. Black turnout was the key here. if Mississippi and Alabama andLouisiana could turn out their Blacks in the same number, the entire south would turn blue.

Disagree.
We have had very strong Candidates since 1992 (1980/1988 being the weakest - mostly fform the Dem side). You might not long them but everyone was a policy hound since. Maybe W was the "weakest" as a wonk but his strengths were elsewhere - which was fine.
I think that 2008 was the strongest overall, followed by 1996/2012. You might not like the candidates, abhor the policy directions but they were very sharp wonks on either side.

Not really. Biden clearly has the onset of dementia and is losing it. He won't be POTUS for long before either he voluntarily steps down or the House deems him to be incapable of serving. That brings Kamala Harris into the presidency and vacates the VP. Second in line to the presidency is the Speaker of the House - one Nancy Pelosi. She isn't required to move in to that role, but could. Congress will appoint someone to fill the VP position if that happens. Just thank God that the GOP still has the Senate. It could be a very long 4 years, but I've been looking forward to voting for fellow Clemson alum Nikki Haley in 2024 for a while anyway!

republicans may not hold the senate if both lose as Harris would be the tie-breaking vote as VP in a 50/50 split.

No surprise to me. The dems/media did a tremendous job of convincing people that Trump is a racist white nationalist. It’s false of course, but people were convinced.

Yeah he is. So?
You aren’t voting for one person, you’re voting for an agenda. You are either voting for the Dem agenda, the Rep agenda or a third party agenda.
I believe that if Trump was able to speak/act like Reagan he would have won in a landslide.

Granted. He can’t help himself.
It doesn’t mean anything with regards to his agenda, though. You’re not voting for the person, you’re voting for the agenda.

I'll take a business man to run this country any day over a politician. It just so happened that the one we elected in 2016 was an obnoxious Long Island bloviator. Regardless of his personality, he got things done, stood up to China, like no other politician would have done. I could look past his outer shell to understand how much he accomplished. Unfortunately his outer shell id the only thing 52% of our population could see.

The whole red/blue thing. Back in the day Republicans were Blue on the map and Dems were Red. I remember that sea of Blue for Ronnie Reagan and both Georgia and West Virginia sticking out like a red thumb for Carter back in 1980.
