boost their talent using the portal and I know we have major holes to fill ((maybe edge, RB, LB, S, WR, P, & maybe OL). Yes i believe in our staff and love Clemson.. but it’s tough to see others teams get better while we let the window pass us by. If we recruited top 10 I would be OK but our recruiting class was #30 (5th in ACC) and we have zero impact portal players. Deep breath lol.. everything is fine lol

Yes but I hate to see other teams we play all be aggressive and land these guys. If it was just 1 year it would be no big deal but our track record for the last 3 years (vs our rivals) have been non existent in the portal. We are still riding the recruiting classes of our past success but when they all graduate we are gonna need some great players to continue to compete at a high level.
Im keeping the faith tho that we will continue to get better (I truly hope). It will be either recruiting HS or Portal because there’s no other options.

I guess Wake Forest, Duke, Louisville, Ga tech, Syracuse, etc.. just simply have more money than Clemson. They are getting better and we’re not

Well.. to be honest we didn’t play someof the better teams in the ACC this year (Syracuse, Gatech, Miami, etc). We lost to Lou but beat up on wake, uva, etc. I think we’re fine with our current players but we could suffer if we don’t continue to bring in great athletes.

It amazes me the posts that get thumbed downed. The original poster has legitimate concerns. We lack depth and we lack quality starters at key positions as well. Those are facts. Another fact is we wouldn't have made the playoffs if it wasn't expanded. Another fact is we wouldn't have made the playoff without the automatic qualifier. We were once considered a top 4 program nationally on a continuous basis. We are not that now. We all should want better coaching and a better program.

One thing that many are still missing on this portal krud...if our kids are doing the right thing and progressing then they should play...hire a bunch of team flippers and our home grown talent is unhappy and all that hard work seems to come to no good end...with Wilkins and the Rangers, they wanted to be on the field all the time...NFL scouts like to see that conditioning! Now you have caused two problems and maybe solved one that did not exist! We are losing few...let's rock the boat and be just like our big brother FSU...now they can't get anyone to play!

Good point. I just wanna supplement a position or two of real need. I don’t think it’s wise to bring in 20 players like fsu. Again.. I agree with what you said
