Because he's not good.

I think Dabo forced him to conform to the ‘Clemson’ offense… And I think he had no idea how pathetic the rest of the office of coaching staff would be, and how poor player development was going to be

Our problems are too similar across three different OC’s now for Dabo to not be the common thread.

Kevin Steele and Billy Napier both have coaching jobs still so nah, I think Garrett will be alright if he can bounce back at his next stop

When I look at what he has to work with, I kind of have a hard time blaming him. These aren’t “his” guys for his offense.

Doubt it. I bet we’re lucky if he doesn’t leave in the offseason. Any coach would fail with our offensive talent and position coaches. Other coaches aren’t dumb, they can see the problems here.

twice as Dabo walked up to him, said something and then Riley signaled the play in. While he hasn't impressed me so far, with the sorry o line and the apparent total lack of talent at WR, don't know how much he can do.

I agree that he is not great and a big disappointement, but he

will likely kleave and take another job before getting fired. I think he must have been shocked when he got here and saw what he was working with on the offensive line and receivers. As lightbulb bill said, he might go join his brother at Southern Cal. Lets hope so.

His players are worse. He had a bunch of track stars at TCU and we have?

Riley's had to carry Dabo and his staff

along with Dabo's o-line and WR recruits. Do not expect Riley back in 2024 by mutual agreement unless it's fully Riley's offensive staff.
Remember Riley beat Michigan with much lower-rated recruits than on the Tiger team.

I mean, I’m just not sure what he could do to make it any better when his position groups suck because of their position group coaches.
Can’t throw deep balls bc there’s no time in the pocket. Can’t throw deep balls bc WRs can’t get consistent separation. Can’t run the ball bc there’s no push from the OL. Can’t run the ball bc we have no breakaway speed at RB.
I just hope Swinney consults Riley on the offensive hires in the off season… if there are any…

Yes! Clemson kills all coaching careers, including assistants, when the football team experiences a bad season after 13 successful ones.

Based on what we’ve seen we have saved a team a big investment in a lemon. Heck we have a big investment in a lemon.
