Fan in that if I have no clemson game to watch they are my next team to watch, but I really believe they are over hyped. The bayou bengals are extremely talented, and have recruited really well, it's just they continue to underwhelm me in games until they finally wear down a defense and #7 starts popping of big runs.
I hate Alabama with every nick saban breath and it's hard to say but they are going to be #1 before long if they beat LSU. I really don't know about blowhio and I'm holding off until they play state or Michigan.

Good morning, old Friend. Kind of "heady" thinking,

isn't it?
I keep going back to the '81 season over and over in my mind, and how virtually the entire Clemson Nation was both stunned and cautious as that season progressed.
I don't recall anyone resorting to bodacious braggadocio, as we believed any and every game could be a trap. Thus, each win was highly celebrated. Additionally, a lot of luck went our way, as higher ranked teams were upset, eventually landing us in the #1 ranking.
Even then, few expected us to defeat Nebraska...even most Clemson folks remained skeptical...until that fateful day in Miami.
I continue to remain overtly cautious, preferring to approach one game at a time, while avoiding being overtaken with hype. We win one game...we go on to the next. We'll see where we stand at season's end.
I will admit: IF...and that's a BIG IF, we remain undefeated, I believe we will be one of the four. And based upon current contenders, I believe Clemson could give any of them a run for the money.
As for this moment, it's GO TIGERS! BEAT THE WOLFPACK!

Good morning, sir. There's something special about waking up each morning and...well, just waking up, I reckon.
I presume nothing. I insist that Bama and LSU are incomplete offense. I think both would struggle with a good defense and suppose we'll see when they play each other.
I've watched a couple of OSU's games and all of ours more than once. I agree with the writer. Of all the teams that I've watched this season Clemson and OSU appear to be capable of handling most offense fairly well. They are also the most balanced on offense so I expect both will finish the season strong. No other team has show those characteristics at this point.
When we beat ND many here called for an undefeated season. I understand their enthusiasm but I agree with you. While I think we are the better team than any on our schedule, imo, I remember that the ball isn't round. I have resisted prematurely claiming a NC because I think one loss doesn't ruin a good season. It's football and undefeated seasons are rare and precious.
I'm glad you woke up this morning too.

strong coffee, a brief constitutional outdoors, then perusal of the obits to make certain my name is missing.
Then, and only then, am I full of vim and vigor, ready to tackle the day's chores. One, of course, is considering our next opponent...in this case NC State...with the same high regard as others, for I know we now have large targets on our backs.
Yet, confidence is high.

Don't think Bama and LSU are the same as Baylor

Baylor has absolutely no defense. They are all on 1 side of the ball. They don't even care to try to stop the other team. Baylor just wants to score TDs to your FGs, as long as you score your FGs fast.
LSU and Bama are 1 dimensional (run oriented). But they are very strong in that dimension on both sides of the ball. They are built to run the ball and stop the run and they focus their strategy within 5 yards of the LOS. THeir DBs and WRs aren't as good in comparison to their RBs and LBs. But that doesn't mean that are only offensive or defensive focused.
All teams have a "weakness" (even Clemson and Ohio St). But I don't think of Bama and LSU as not being complete teams in the same way as Baylor.

I didn't compare Baylor to Bama or LSU.

I compared Bama and LSU to Clemson and OSU. I mentioned Baylor only to point out that neither Bama nor LSU is balanced on offense.
The last two years have seen those run only offenses thrive in the SEC then falter in the championships and other bowl games. Bama has become notorious for serving rump to dual threat QB with good passing skills and WRs who can catch.
Neither Bama nor LSU could stop Baylor from scoring. I'd put the over/under on a game between Baylor and either of them around 90. Baylor might have a better shot at stopping an SEC running game than either of the two stopping Baylor's passing game.

I've had a feeling since the beginning of the year we could be heading for a Ohio State rematch and I totally agree with this article's assessment. There are only two teams playing well on both sides of the ball.
Go Tigers! Beat NC State!
