quality pitching and hitting falls entirely on him. There really doesn’t seem to be any concern or urgency on his part to address the situation. This is my biggest concern and he should be on thin ice but probably isn’t.

Once they go to 25 scholarships Clemson will be able to recruit better. NIL money is a big part of it as well.

Doesn’t excuse the offense old man….. tired of the pitching injuries too. It’s an excuse but something needs to be addressed in S&C so it stops
Also Gillen was awful….. not one transfer pitcher is good

One year wonder. Has happened to a lot of teams and coaches…… his overall work is mediocre…… his teams almost never have good pitching. Nothing is different here

You obviously are so young you have no clue how hard it is to recruit in baseball. First, many of the good pitching prospects sign pro contracts, second, you only have so many scholarships to give, (that should improve with new limits) and third, for every pitching prospect, there is a equally good hitting prospect. There are no magic bullets and that has once again proven true since 8 of the 16 host/seeds are in elimination games today.

The difference is all of those other teams have done something lately. I bet all of them or almost all of them outside of southern miss have been to Omaha numerous times in the last decade…… they can have down years at this point and it’s fine….. we on the other hand are desperate AF and continue to choke

He has recruited and signed several top echelon players, but has lost them to MLB. He has at least one, maybe two who will never get to campus this fall. The Michigan connection for him probably won’t continue and there are a few of Monty’s guys taking up roster space. If he wants to get more portal players, then he needs to do a better job of getting guys who are game ready.

What do you mean "inability" to recruit. He recruits the best pitchers and hitters that he is able to get to Clemson. Not every baseball player that he recruits wants to play at Clemson. He gets outstanding young men to come play for him and he has to deal with injuries, players not developing like maybe he would like, among other factors. Some teams are just better. I have zero concern that he will be successful here at Clemson. Sorry you feel differently.

The incoming class has some really good players, EB chose not to play any of them for some reason besides TP? Maybe to redshirt the entire class minus the few pitchers. None of them will have any experience. Mistake IMO but I’m not coach.
S&C is a concern! Guys never seems to get any bigger or stronger. The biggest complaint from the players. Get a new S&C and watch them grow. Lift heavy, Hit bombs.
