But not having Washington especially if they end up not getting Gilbert back is potentially devastating to their offense! Because Washington and Gilbert on the field at the same time would be a nightmare for any defense including ours.
Washington, Gilbert, and Pickens on the field at the same time plus Georgia’s running game would be #### near unstoppable if their 0L is even remotely competent. But it looks like Pickens will be out all year and Gilbert may not be a part of the team and now Washington may be out for the Clemson game. Georgia fans are probably having heart palpitations right now.

I will bet we see all of these dudes minus Pickens possibly in Charlotte. Even that wouldn't be shocking as I have also heard reports he could be back much sooner than let on.

No way Pickens is back for the opener. I wouldn’t be surprised if he shuts it down for the season and preps for the NFL, especially if/when they lay their annual egg to knock them out of the playoff hunt.
Smith and Washington would be big losses though, as was potentially losing their center. Smells a little like subterfuge, but we’ll see…

Their center has a injury to his snapping hand. Pretty sure they have a guard injured as well and those injuries were mentioned after 92.9 The Game made a post on fb about their Oline having issues. That the line did not have the gamers that they had a few years ago. Sounded like they have numbers but not the studs they are accustomed to. Then have some injury issues beyond their drop-off in talent.
Also, I've seen some on here state that they are banged up at WR, beyond Pickens. Now, the mutt fans I know claim WR is their deepest position, which seemed odd to me. Seeing how they have been Pickens or bust the past couple of years and Gilbert was said the practicing at WR. Then the Dawg fans rattled off like six WRs that I did not really know but was sure a couple of them had to be highly rated. Still, doubt they are what we consider deep at WR. They better hope they are, because it will be a long night versus our D if they think they are going to pound our guys. Brent has always stopped the run first and this time around he has the depth to keep guys fresh. There will not be a repeat of what happened last time between the Hedges, when all our skill possession players were freshman and our much needed, for blocking, TE got hurt in warm-ups and last time I checked Stoubt will not be under center. I felt bad for our D in the second half of that last trip to Athens. The mutts remember that and are either straight up lying, don't follow recruiting, or are buying some terribly research amd written poop paper.

Jeeze, so as great as they have recruited, their two starting DBs are former Clemson player with gun charges and a former West Va player that had issues with the coaches? Where are all these 5* players they recruited??
One thing I know, is several scouting gurus have been UGA homer's and they always jacked up the star rankings of the players leaning towards the Dawgs. Does the name Simmons ring a bell?
Anyway, I don't care who they have or don't, I love Dabo's philosophy in recruiting great people and developing them! I'm sure we will need to rely on the portal at some point but at least Dabo is fishing in a pool hoping for immediate success potentially at the cost of driving other players to the portal. LSU got lucky with Portal fishing but I don't see that as a great system for long term success.
