It seems there are some on here who automatically default to "you're a coot" name calling when you point out any unpleasant fact.
They have the same conformist mentality that avid Obama supporters do. If you disagree with them on anything, "you"re racist".
At this point in my life, I've learned to wear their petty name calling as a badge of honor.
Regarding the game, we looked much better in the second half. I just wish we could have put it together like that on offensive side sooner and put 45 on them, but over 500 yards for the game against a top 5 D makes a pretty good statement.

is because it is mind numbing how individuals can continue to be negative despite Clemson having nothing but success. Often you log on to Tnet after a win and read post after post regarding Clemson's weaknesses or problems. Ironically some of the same individuals who are negative will be here when there is a legit issue, just as happy as can be, to say I told you so. Most fans want to enjoy a win and save the frustration for a loss. It seems some can not be satisfied until Clemson loses. These are often referred to as coots.

That said, I would argue you cannot possibly be a coot if you are Clemson alum and avid Clemson fan. Perhaps a dofferent moniker could apply for those of us who are able to admit when we have areas for improvement from time to time. Being objective does not a coot make, provided we point the good out as well - which I clearly do.

is being objective. Every fan is objective and has opinions but often those who come to this board and try to convince everyone that "Clemson isn't that good", are actually coots. Coots are those who root for gamecawks and root against Clemson. Often they come here and pretend to be fans. I'm not saying that is what you do. But saying Clemson is sad because they won 34 - 10 against BC is not being objective. It's being negative.

Anybody that thinks that a 34-17 win over BC hurts us or somehow doesn't give is enough "style points" is certainly a coot troll or a complete idiot, or both...probably both.
