Had to have an emergency appendectomy ~6weeks ago. After my surgery the docs told me and Mrs Pabsts, multiple times, CT showed an enlarged Gallbladder. Fast forward 4 weeks I go see my primary for follow-up. You ask, "Pabst why wait so long" ?Well my fellow lounge folks bc it effin took that long to get my CT scan and Surgery info from hospital to my primary. Anyway, see primary and he says, " no notes on enlarged GB but says here you have potential plural/ pericardial effusion (fluid around heart/lungs). So now Im home from an Echo, all normal for a 49 yr old heart but still have to get a full ultrasound of thoracic cavity. My assumption is the radiologist meant to say No plural effusion but forgot the "No". But my biggest issue is how da fuq did an entire surgical team mistake that for enlarged GB? Anyway, stop taking Tylenol is what im saying 😀

If you stop going to the doctor, they won't ever say you're sick

That's been my mantra for the past 50 years. Who knows what's wrong with me, but I can't keep pretending I'm at 100%. No meds.

See this is how I am, basically. If I wasn't in extreme pain Id probably not had the appendix removed, but glad I did. Having said that for over 20 yrs all I ever did was order my own blood work, through a private company, and basically review it. Sure Im a pretty educated person, and have had some formal training, but when you're 18 to says 45ish, its about all you need...except in acute situations such as my appendix.
Hell I only go get a routine physical to keep my insurance down. When I did have insurance id pay 3 to 400 a year and get biannual blood work...and way more tests than current insurance allows. Hell when I was really powerlifting I got bloodwork quarterly even monthly to see how my endocrine system was doing. So thyroid, growth factor, test (free and total), etc...
Anyway, stop taking Tylenol is what im a sayin 😀
