Depends on who we drew for a schedule, but I don’t think realistically we’d be in the SECCG or in the playoffs there this season by any means

It's on another thread but if you switched schedules with uscjr, you're looking at 6-4 at best.
If uscjr had CLemson's schedule, they would have 2-3 losses.

We played ourselves out of those opportunities with the schedule we had. So no to both but if we we're in the SEC Dabo would have to make his decisions differently or the scene would be much uglier. The seat doesn't get hot with 9 wins no matter who you beat.

We used to be the Clemson I knew...not some wannabees who pray to be in the SEC or anywhere we are not so we will have more money! The SEC has never clammored to get Clemson...they have Texas and Oklahoma and probably don't want anyone else unless they could rid themselves of Kentuck, Vandy, etc. We are not on their radar...listen to Findbum, he has already addressed this probably directly from Skanky!

I am in favor of all Div 1 schools having 10 mbrs limit
per conference. SEC and BG10 member schools would tell
the truth they don't want to receive less money per
school by adding anymore schools. Only exception Notre
Dame BG10 definitely would invite them. I would love to
see ESPN, Fox, CBS, ABC, NBC and possibly Apple and Amazon
having to fight/negotiate one another for the right to
contract those 10 limited schools in 13 conferences.

Depends on who's schedule Clemson would've gotten. I know this though Dabo would have to change his stance on the portal in the SEC bc you have to have depth to stay alive in the SEC. It would also open up more NIL money to keep guys satisfied(like Mukuba). I think Clemson would be competitive in the SEC, I'd say like LSU tier. They would not be at the top of that league with the lack of quality depth right now. Clemson has a solid starting line up.

They have 8 teams with 3 losses or fewer.
The ACC has 4, including us.
We would be a middle of the pack team in the SEC this year. At best.
We have enough to be concerned about with SC this year. Our guys need to gird their loins for the chicken game.

Some people on this thread have said the recruiting would be better if CLemson was in the SEC. IDK…ESPN said CLemson had a top 5 talent roster. What happens to them once they get on campus? Coaching. I dont see CLemson getting that many more talented players if the recruiting gurus are right.

Football didn’t begin 8 years ago. There is no reason to be selective to push an agenda. The playing field is level. Clemson recruits the same players that SEC teams do…including UGA. Are you saying CLemson doesn’t have nil money? According to ESPN, CLemson has the 5th most talented roster. That’s better than Bama, Ole Miss, UT, LSU etc. but no one here says that CLemson could beat any of those teams. Is it a development issue? Many on here say it is. What about talent evaluation once they get on campus? Why weren’t your top three receivers catching bombs in game 1 like they were vs the cupcakes the next six games?

If we played Tennessee schedule we would have the same exact record. they lost to arkansas and georgia and beat bama.......we might lose to bama but we would have beaten arkansas but the point is we would still have 2 losses like they do.......
Everyone is acting like all these top SEC teams play all the others best SEC teams which simply isnt true
Bama: does not play texas or ole miss
Tennessee: does not play texas or ole miss
Texas: does not play Bama or Ole Miss
only georgia has the killer schedule where they forced to play almost all the good teams, no one but georgia has gone through the ringer.............all the other is mid tier crap....mizzo, florida, A&M, south carolina...........none of that is some gauntlet.

Not this season. Clemson lacks the overall team speed (on both sides of the ball) to compete with the top SEC teams this year.
