Come on now don’t be a smart A. There is definitely still a place for the portal. Especially when we end up losing guys like Mukuba and pride. As awesome as the 25 class appears to be we still are having to rely on true freshman to come in and play right away by not taking portal players to replace the experience we lost.

Everyone else, including Pride, are leaving because there are others ahead of them in the pecking order.
Developing players on and off the field is Dabo’s way. Unless a portal guy has a few years left he could be a target, but we not signing anyone with a guarantee to start. Nor are we entertaining guys who walk in the door with their hand out for payola.
It cannot be said the approach will fail. The portal has never cost us a game. Seems like a great approach to me.

Regardless of whether the transfers were starters or backups they obviously were not ALL IN.
Also whether the starters are freshman or upperclassmen is irrelevant if the backups can't beat them out. They are still backups, and transferred for more playing time.
I believe Dabo can and will win his way.

If they were going to be a starter at Clemson, why else would they leave besides someone using money to attract them. If a guy bails on a starting position at Clemson, it's bc of the money, and that won't help them to the biggest payday in the NFL!!!

That's not always true. I know that one of them was home sick and wanted to play his last season at home. Plus, he thought he was going to be in the playoffs every year at Clemson.

Built like Ricky Sapp but his game reminds me of Gaines Adam's. He really understands how to keep separation from the linemen and use his hands to get free. Excellent pursuit angles too. Nice first step too. Very exciting commitment.
