we attempt the fg today to force overtime. thats another massive issue this year that never got fixed

Would you have been happy to sit on the ball and attempt a game-tying FG? We didn't do anything risky; it was just poor execution.

You take the points that early I the game that was a dumb call… especially when we have been horrific in short yardage for a long time now

How many FGs have we had blocked and how many times has our Jumbo package been stopped? I'm not angry with the call, it just sucks that it didn't work.

Then kick the field goal. What you don't do is try to check it down to the RB. If the play in the end zone is covered you throw it out of bounds and move to the next play.

Also,.you almost ALWAYS take points instead of going for it early in a game.

Also,.when you have lead, field position, momentum and the ball, you don't introduce risk with a trick play.

Also, against a one dimensional offense w only one real threat that can beat you...a running QB...you dont disadvantage defenders by staying in man. You spy or double spy on the edges and play zone. Amazing how well defense held them despite that.

Nothing wrong with taking the short gain if you have a timeout. Why not make the FG as easy as possible with our issues?

Now you either have to kick the field goal, without the opportunity to take another shot at the end zone, or risk running out of time. It's end of game clock management 101 that Cade should have known. Don't take my word for it go listen to what Dabo said after the game.
