and that is very likely to happen, then they will have won as many games as CLEMSON did last year. It just took them THREE YEARS TO DO IT!

and one of the teams that is supposed to beat them gets decimated with injuries (i.e., the Tennessee game), $CU will be hard-pressed to win more than five games.
There is a reason why they only beat one team with a winning record in 2016. With a middling defense and a weak offensive line, 2017 will be very similar to last year; they'll beat-up on the weak opponents and struggle with the better teams.

I just reread the original post and don't see any mention of "winning record", other than Tennessee, which he noted.

BigCUFan must have hurt your feelings? Sorry, but the manner in which you post frankly leaves much to be desired. My late father and two his brothers all finished Clemson decades ago. I have been going to football games for almost sixty years and wrote checks to IPTAY even though I am not a graduate. Only medical expenses prevented me from continuing after a number of years.
GWP, you may have affiliations with Clemson, but your posts question virtually everything about Tiger sports. My perspective is one shared by many herein because your attitude is far from perfect. We don't consider your posts in a joking manner. Each of us can learn from all concerned, but you would be well served to quit being so negative. Have a nice Fourth!

GWP, There are posters on here who have been fans and supporters for forty to sixty years! Get a life! You frankly think your posts are "cute" and legit, but to put it mildly you are a laughing stock herein. No offense intended, just honest assessment. Go home to momma.
Go Tigers!

When did the beat up on weak teams last year? I may be wrong but it seemed like they struggled with the weak teams also.

Personally I'm hoping for 6 or 7 and here's why. I was talking to a coot and giving him a hard time about Muschamp. My point is the same as anyone outside their program. If chump couldn't win at Florida he will not win at SC. The guy got a little flustered and quickly defended him by saying that they only won 3 games the year before and last year they won 6. Obviously in his mind this was quite the accomplishment. I lay off when a person get agitated about something that really isn't that important in the grand scheme of life. But anyway because of this I didn't lay it on him by telling him that their schedule was laughable. They do not have a good win under Muschamp. Tennessee was a team that imploded last year. If last year was a good year and a step in the right direction in their eyes let them believe it. Last year's chickens were no better than the year before when they finished 3-9. If that is a their measure of success and they can't see the obvious then so be it. This means they will keep their coach. Muschump is a proven commodity. A proven failure. I hope he does just enough to keep his job for a long time. Go Tigers!

My thoughts exactly.

Let Muschamp just barely get them bowl eligible so he doesn't get fired. Sure he probably won't win any bowl games but the coots will believe they're going in the right direction. 5 years from now, still going 6-7, they will still believe they're going in the right direction.

They also like to point out that Muschamp got a poor roster and recruiting class left over from SOS and that with his (Muschamps) monster recruiting skills he will improve their roster. What they fail to embrace is that when he got to Florida he inherited a great roster full of skill and good recruit commitments, then managed to turn that team into a bonafide loser.

I'd rather he get fired. Remember he was a downward stretch when hired because their first ten picks turned them down.
Having scraped the bottom of the barrel to find Muschump, their board meltdowns will be epically amusing when they have to look under the barrel for their next one.

South Carolina is likely to be favored in their first 4

With that being said, I'm still pounding NC State moneyline. However, if they can win in Charlotte, heading to College Station 4-0 isn't all that unlikely. Their schedule sets up absolutely perfect this year as they avoid the big boys in the SEC West. 8 wins isn't out of the question at all and they have a slight chance of even getting higher.

Which means they can technically still suck and believe they are improving under Muschump. I hope they elevate that loser in their minds as much as possible.

I think you're right. NCSU's Dline will dominate the chickens up front. With no running game that puts it squarely on Bentley to carry that offense and with poor Oline play....well you can see the carousel effect here
