In the SEC. Are they still a 2 seed in Clemson? Really don’t want another SEC school as a 2 seed this year. Especially a rival. Would love to see them in a super regional tho.

I hear ya after our consistent lack of success in our last whoever knows how many home regionals. But we'll take whoever they send and it would be sweet to send the coots home. We owe them some of that since all those regionals they beat us at there place under tanner.

I don't want them as a two seed either. But I think if they made a big run in the tournament, they'd bump another sec 1 seed down to 2 and host.

That would be the summer conditioning program for the football team. They modeled it after UGA’s.

I would prefer them not to be in our regional.

There’s plenty of other places they can send them to in the region.

There is about an 80% chance that we will always have a SEC team in our regional. If we go to the big ten we will always have a SEC or an ACC team in our regional. It’s simple math.
There are 16 regional host sites. 8 are probably going to be SEC host sites every year. Their RPI and Strength of Schedule is always high and will only increase with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma next year.
The tournament selection rules don’t allow two teams from the same conference to be in the same regional. So the SEC usually averages 10-12 teams in the Tournament and next year that will increase to 11-13. Most years only leaves 4 regional sites that won’t have an SEC team. Because of our geographical location and travel requirements the chance of us hosting an SEC team only increases.
If we go to the big ten we will probably host an SEC team and an ACC team in our regionals. We will most certainly match up with and SEC regional for a super regional. That’s why we should always pull for Coastal or ECU as a regional host site. It’s our only chance to avoid a SEC or ACC super regional matchup.

I guess you are right. Every year the SEC is lobbying for more and more teams to make a regional. They could possibly have 10-11 sec teams this year. During the SC Bama game all you hear is the announcers saying “how do you leave these two teams out?!” They really do believe “it just means more”.
