Clemson is stacked. Who knows why the rest of ACC is ranked where they are. The ACC sucks right now though and has for a bit. Anyway, 1 month away from your 100th. What are you planning on doing?

We all have our own Joe. I think the ACC sucks right now with only 1 good team and maybe 2 ok teams...the rest junk. The league will come around. Its just bad now. The people at FOX feel the same by the way. Are FOX and ESPN in collusion? You never know. The truth it is what people believe and its not agenda driven.

So now the eSECpn Top 25 or whatever you want to call it, is now the method for gaging a teams worth? I always thought the AP and Coaches poll were used.

the year the Big 10 sucked when Michigan lost to App St (before they were good)? Or when the SEC sucked when Vandy lost to ETSU last week? Or when the SEC sucked when UofSC lost to App State and The Citadel a few years ago?
The only other loss was NCST to the Cowbells. I'll take Mike Leach over Dorren 100 times out of 100 no matter the talent gap.

your “before they were good” comment. We had just come off back to back championships and would win our third that year beating Delaware with Joe Flacco. Two guys would be drafted that year, a WR and Corey Lynch who blocked the fg against Michigan. I understand the point you’re making, just gotta defend my Mountaineers

That's because the ACC stepped up yesterday with two good wins by Virginia and Pittsburg. Of course N.C State and FSU certainly didn't help matters.

Two good wins. Tennessee has been a doormat to the easiest division in the SEC for a decade and they barely scraped by. Who would consider that a great win? Fact is we're 2-6 against the power 5 OOC so far this season and have 2 FCS losses already. The ACC is trash just like it's been trash for years. We benefit from free rides to the playoffs because if it, so we gotta accept the fact we'll be punished for losing games as well.

I took your post a little too literally Joe - my take is the ACC does have issues due to:
1) ACC universities divide TV & bowl funds equally. Almost every penny Clemson earns is given to Wake, Duke, Syracuse, and the rest of the bums who conscientiously choose put the money into basketball and other non-revenue sports.
2) The ACC TV contract is terrible. Swofford locked Clemson and the rest of the ACC into over a decade of inferior revenue. It shows up in lack of facilities and player extras. The SEC really is "different".
3) The ACC is historically a basketball conference. Swofford pursued more traditional basketball teams even with one-and-done NCAA/NBA player policy which has made college basketball irrelevant. Talk about misreading the landscape.
4) Academics play an indirect factor. As the second-rated conference for academics (behind the Ivies), the faculties of some ACC schools (GaT not UNC) are more hesitant to hand out grades for inferior scholastic performance.
