Does it make a difference if I sit behind the Clemson sideline of visitors sideline? Or is it all the same in the lower bowl?

If you have the option, the home side is definitely better during day games.

Depends on how vocal you are at football games? a tube of Hall's is suggested.

It really makes no difference. The home side has the student section .

One interesting thing(which also sucks), due to the natural use of the Valley shape in building, Death Valley is lined up in an East -West orientation so there is no "shady side". The West End Zone gets the only real shade, and the players have to run into the sun and deal with shadows late in the day.
Almost every P5 school stadium is on a North South axis.
The other ACC school which is oriented East - West is Syracuse, but that is a dome.
Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Washington State and So Cal also have an East-West orientation.

If an East-West Axis identifies as North-South, we should all respect that?

Home side is better. Not looking into the sun.

Home side is better. More vocal crowd and you are not facing the sun. Not in the shade. But the sun is on your back or your back left side. On the visiting side the sun is directly in front or on your front right side. Definitely more in your eyes and face.

I can vouch for this. I’ve sat on the North side my whole life, except when I was a student, and the sun is a killer on hot days unless you’re lucky enough to sit under or around the over hang in the lower deck. I’ve sat through some brutal games in September. I actually prefer the North side otherwise because I like looking at the hill from my left for some reason 😳
