struggles, it is Brent Venables. As I have seen it mentioned here several times, the word is out on TE's offense in the coaching circles, and no doubt Venables has had a front-row seat for this entire show. It goes without saying that his squad shows up at practice every day and embarrasses our offense the way our competition has thus far, and we all love him for that.
What he did not do is explain to TE what he was doing wrong, and how to correct it such that his defense can get better prepared for the season, and our offense can flourish. If he were not so focused on his squad looking good during practices, and instead being more proactive in helping the offense, we would not be in this boat. Remember, there is no I in team.

been practicing against our 1st string D-Line and secondary? Has the offense only practiced against the 2's, 3's and the walk-ons? It appears so.

It was said during Fall camp that some 1st string players like Bresee and Davis were taken out because the offense wasn’t able to get anything going. Explains a lot.

Come on man..Venables is paid well to coach one side of the ball and does that as well as any coach in the nation. What you are describing is the role of the HEAD COACH.
