to DC, Goodwin would have gone to Ok. No way both were ever going to stay so I have to believe there is already a plan in place. Expectations are what they are because of the head coach we have in place. I trust his decision making to put another great staff together. Been blessed for almost 20 years to have zero turnover, it’s just Clemson’s turn for it.

You are 100% correct. Dabo chose the one he felt was best. Bates could not accept it and hit the portal. I’m surprised BV made him a Co defensive Cord after giving the job to Roof. This is the way BV got treated by Bob Stoops many years ago. Bet Bates tag is for looks only to pacify him.

Oklahoma in 2012. He was already DC when Stoops hammered in his brother for co-DC. Bates and Wes co-DCs for first time more like Tony and Jeff when Morris left.
